What is Brain Integration

A Holistic, Drug-Free Approach to ADHD and Learning Difficulties

Brain Integration is a non-invasive, drug-free approach designed to help the brain function more effectively. It focuses on improving areas such as attention, memory, learning, and emotional regulation. Instead of managing symptoms through medication or external strategies, Brain Integration works by identifying and addressing the underlying issue: Miscommunication between the brain and the body.

When the brain experiences stress from trauma, chronic anxiety, or developmental challenges, its internal communication can become disrupted. This often leads to struggles with focus, memory, reading, or emotional control. These difficulties are commonly misunderstood. People may believe they’re caused by a lack of effort or ability, when in reality, the brain is simply working harder than it should to complete basic tasks.

At Boise Brain Integration, we use the Crossinology® Brain Integration Technique (BIT), which is based in applied kinesiology and acupressure. The purpose of this technique is to restore natural brain function by rebalancing and reactivating essential neural circuits. Practitioners use muscle testing and acupoint stimulation to locate areas where brain communication is blocked. These areas are then corrected through a series of gentle, structured steps.

Unlike talk therapy or academic drills, Brain Integration works at the physical level of brain function. Clients rest comfortably during sessions while the practitioner applies light-touch techniques that support the nervous system in returning to a more organized, balanced state. Over time, this often leads to noticeable improvements in thinking, learning, and emotional response.

Many clients, including both children and adults, seek out Brain Integration after trying other methods such as medication, tutoring, or behavioral therapy. Often, these approaches bring only temporary relief. Brain Integration offers an alternative by supporting lasting change through improved brain function.

This work is well-suited for individuals who experience:

  • Attention or executive functioning challenges
  • Learning difficulties, including dyslexia
  • Poor working memory or difficulty following instructions
  • Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, or reactivity
  • A sense of being stuck or unable to make progress despite effort

We like to say that we don't "fix" people. We're all about helping the brain return to a state where it can operate more easily. When communication within the brain improves, tasks like reading, concentrating, or staying emotionally balanced begin to feel less difficult. For many, that shift brings meaningful relief and a renewed sense of confidence.
